The total planning of the industrial park is 25000 mu, which is constructed in three phases with a total investment of 26 billion yuan. In 2018, Macheng was rated as "national stone industry cluster demonstration city" by China Stone Association.

The main varieties of Macheng stone are granite, including 18 varieties such as Macheng white (sesame white G603), Macheng gray, langtaosha and magic color Ma, of which "Macheng white" and "langtaosha" are the main representatives. "Macheng white (sesame white)" mining area is located in baiyashan in the southeast of the urban area. The mining area covers an area of more than 60 square kilometers and has a storage capacity of 25 billion cubic meters, which can be exploited for 100 years.
